5 Tips of Blogging Mistakes You Must Avoid

We as humans are not born perfect even sometimes I also do make mistakes. It's great to make mistakes because it's only when you made the mistake will you be able to learn how to solve them and do less of them. I thought of sharing some of my major top 5 mistakes I made when I blog online so that you are aware not to do them too.

1. When Blogging Do Not Use Your Own Symbols Readers Will Not Understand.

I think it's because I love to chat on online chat messenger, I tend to always use symbols like =) or =P in my blogging articles or go on I discover that what I assume people may understand they see a smiling face to be a whole different thing to someone else on a foreign country. Do try to avoid you any symbols to express expression on your blogs.

2. Spell Check Your Blog Post.

I am seriously very guilty when it comes to this, it is not because I do not know how to do it. But when you have spent an hour more or less on writing the content sometimes it is even more tiring to check the spelling. That is the major reason why you sometimes do see some spelling errors on this blog. I am really sorry on that.

3. Get Someone To Proof Read Your Content.

Another major mistake I always do is my lack of grammar as my level of English is really poor and it is not because English is my 2nd language it is actually my first language. However since I was young, my English has always been very poor but that have not stop me from blogging and making money from it.
You can consider getting local people in your country to hire to do some proof reading on your blog. It will cost you money but I feel in the long run if your blog is able to generate some form of income. Getting a proof reader should be a good investment.

4. Do Not Hard Sell In Your Blog Post.

I was monitoring my blog recently, and I realized when ever I did some form of pitching on my blog and do not give any valuable tips the subscription to the blog would drop or you can visit on So if you want to avoid that to happen, you will require to give more value to your readers to learn more tips from you and have your products at the end of the post. To make it more effective try to make your affiliate links to look as if it's just a recommendation.

5. Do Not Go Off Topic On Your Blog.

Because what you are reading is a blog and you can virtually talk about almost anything on your blog, I would not recommend you talk too much on your personal stories but instead should be giving more valuable advice so that people can learn more from you. As you give more valuable advice to your readers the more they would want to come back for more.

4 Ways to be a Successful Blogger

The art of blogging is the web phenomenon of the 21s century, being used both for personal use and as a business toll, but what is it that makes a successful blogger?

Here are a few tips to successful blogging that I have gleaned from my experiences - I hope they help!

1: Keep it interesting.

Nobody will read a blog that is not of interest, so the foremost point when blogging is to keep interest levels high. You can do this by injecting a certain flair into your blog, by demonstrating an interest in the subject that goes beyond the norm. Passion and dedication are the key words - write as if you mean it!

2: Invite participation.

Those reading your blog should be actively encouraged to comment, and you should be willing to enter into a discussion about the points that are raised. Comments from readers may - and often do - enhance the subject, and give you, the blogger, a new angle on things.

3: Read other blogs.

Reading other blogs on the subject, and commenting on them in your own blog, is a good way of building up the essential trust and interest that goes with successful blogging. Referring to others gives an air of knowledge and interest that is not given by inferring you are the be all and the end all. Also, this enables you to build up a relationship with other bloggers, creating a networking effect that can only be of benefit to you all.

4: Controversy can be beneficial.

Don't be afraid to be controversial, but take care not to let it become offensive. There's no better blog than one that raises others eyebrows and invites controversial responses.

Above are simply a few of the main pointers to creating a successful blog, and as you go on your experience will enhance the quality of your blogs.

Make Money Online With Blogs

Here is a moneymaking idea for teens -- make money online by blogging. If you're not sure what blogging is, it's like keeping a diary -- only it's an online diary. Entries written in traditional diaries vary in their subjects from day to day -- depending on the events of each day. But it is usually best if your blog centers on a particular subject -- perhaps your favorite hobby. For example, if you enjoy video or computer games then you might start a blog about them. You could write about your favorite games and any hints or tips you have learned that might help others when playing their games.

Every time you make a post to your blog you could recommend a particular game, or maybe even a tutorial on playing a game. These are called affiliate programs, and you would include a special link that contains your affiliate ID. Whenever a visitor to your blog clicks on that link, and buys the product, you would get paid a commission.

There are countless affiliate products that you could recommend -- they can be physical products, or instantly downloadable digital products. Commissions paid on digital products are much higher than those paid on physical products. If you want to sell digital products such as e-books and downloadable software, then Clickbank is the best place to start because they specialize in digital products. It will cost you nothing to join them and you can then choose whichever products you want to promote from their marketplace. Because their products are digital, commissions are usually at least 50% or more of the price of the product.

To start a blog, you may want to use Wordpress. You will need to buy a domain name for it -- for this you will need to pay a small yearly fee. You will also need Web hosting to host your blog -- if you search online you should be able to find plenty of Web hosting companies that charge you around $3-$4 per month.

If you want to avoid these costs, you can. Simply sign up with and put your blog there. You won't need to pay for a domain name and there are no Web hosting fees. Squidoo provides you with as much Web space as you want -- each page is called a lens, but it is in effect the same thing as a blog. What's more, you can have as many lenses (blogs) as you want -- and each on a different subject. You could have a lens on your favorite games, movies, and sports -- whatever you want. And on each one of them you could be promoting affiliate products and making money online. It's best to have your affiliate products closely related to the subject of your lens or blog.

Once you are used to working with blogs, you could expand and build your own website. Simply search the Net for tutorials to help you do this. This would be just the beginning. From here you could move on to bigger and better ways of making money online.

10 Tips That Will Improve Your Blog Posts

Web presence is essential, especially if you plan to organize a business of some sort. It is very crucial to make the initial right move to assure saving of time, effort, and very importantly, money. There are millions of blogs on the Internet, and all of them are vying for the number one spot. Thousands of blogs are created every hour, and with the increasing popularity and convenience of the Internet, the battle has only just begun. However, like any other market on the Internet there are tried and tested tips that have helped the industry leaders. Ten tips on writing a blog successfully are listed below:

1. The title: Each post must bear a title that demands a reader's attention immediately. The title should be so chosen that it should captivate the reader's interest and fulfill the intention of being not only informative but generate an urge to check the post out further. Longer titles are better, since they offer a little more detail about the post.

2. Precise and potent sentences: The sentences used in the post should be short and complete. Not all your readers are going to sit down and try to simplify complex sentences or hunt for real value in your blog. Watch your grammar and punctuation carefully. Your readers do not only expect it, but it helps them to understand what you are writing. Also, your post should ideally not be any greater than 200-250 words in length.

3. Bullets and subheadings: Readers do not like to read posts with lengthy paragraphs. The text should be broken up into lists when possible. Use bulleted points or small two and three-liners with suitable subheadings. This will make the post easy to scan. You need to allow the information you are providing attract the reader's curiosity.

4. Regular updates: Readers want current news. You need to ensure that your blog carries articles that are relevant and updated regularly. You need to conduct research from newspapers, web references, suggested new keywords, business letters and reports etc. Use CSS capability from various sources to automatically add articles to your blog.

5. Stand tall: You may be a faceless entity online, but still stand tall and bold in reality. Why shouldn't you? Isn't it true that you have a blog? Timidity is anonymity. So do not be afraid!

6. Ensure accuracy: You must be dead certain about the content of the blog. Never misinform and always be as accurate as you can. Check and double-check your sources for correctness.

7. Contribute positively: When you choose to include links on your blog, ensure that there is ample scope for interaction between you and the thousands of end users who may reach the site on purpose or accidentally. Always offer useful relevant information.

8. Stay focused on content: Continue to maintain focus on the theme of your blog. Any departure from your theme will not only add a little bewilderment, but the reader may decide that your blog isn't worth reading. It tends to rob you of your virtual authority on the theme of the blog very quickly.

9. Use Potential keywords: The right keywords capture the search engine's potential of attracting more and more users to your blog. Use effective and relevant keywords after a lot of keyword research.

10. Be methodical: Consistency and diligence are the mantras for a successful blog. Advertise your blog anywhere and everywhere. Be proud of it and flaunt it. A methodical approach will increase your potential of attracting new readers.
